I have not tried hyper lapses yet on my mavic pro, had it about a month now just no shooting situation where I thought it would be a good effect

You are right, it is all about waiting for the right situations. We had about a week of low lying fog that made it fun to go out and try a few hyperlapses. These are my first attempts of editing them together, more to come.

I very much like the transition as it "feels" as if one is zipping from one scene to the next.  IMHO it slots well into the hyperlapse theme. Maybe fading-in and fading-out would not have had the same effect.

Exactly what I thought. Tried doing just jump cuts as well. I think these transitions work but they are not for everyone. Just my artistic freedom.

I agree with you.  Once has to be open minded about which transitions will work in which circumstances as it will "make-or-break" the "message".

Art is obviously a totally subjective experience with no right or wrong but I feel like your shots are so beautiful that the transitions are a big distraction and it would flow so much better without them. Beautiful overall  though!
