ND 32+ as a starting point and read your exposure, histogram and zebras are useful tools. Use the light direction don't fly into the sun, have fun, experiment and enjoy.
It is a nightmare in those conditions - you can have a perfectly balanced exposure then yaw the drone a little and it's ruined. I have flown in conditions where I've had to use a variance of 1/2000 shutter speed to get a perfect exposure value - no ND filter away from the sun and an ND64 would have been needed 90 degrees toward to the sun. I tend to put on a middle filter (ND32) and put it in auto in those conditions. |
