Everytime I use my Mavic 2 Pro I get a message that the remote needs a firmware update. I have used the DJI assistant to update the remote several times and clearly something is wrong.  I just did an update via the DJI assistant and the status of the remote is that it still needs an update. What the heck is happening?  The screen shows that the update was 100% complete.  Help please

Duh, sorry - missed RC!

Do you have multiple batteries? If so, when you update the aircraft and there's an updated battery module, then you only update the battery in the aircraft. Then next time you fly with a different battery, the GO4 app sees the inconsistencies and asked if you want to update... That should quit once all of your batteries receive the updated module.... Just a possibility, it could always be something else ;-)

I feel sorry for you... I can only say that I updated firmware of the Remote Control FIRST, then the firmware of the AIRCRAFT and last but not least I update the firmware of all BATTERIES I own...
The very first time I did this using DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic v. 2.0.4. Then afterwards I checked the versions using DJI GO 4 and all went very well...
I'm afraid I cannot help you, but I would advise to repeat all steps according to how I did the updates... I used a Computer running Windows 10.
You can REFRESH the current/latest firmware...

Take care and I hope it will work...

DJI GO 4 app says my RC version is 01.00.0050

Try using the Assistant for Mavic 2 and updating each version from 1.00.0050 thru the current version, one at a time. A pain and shouldn't be necessary, but there may be something in the RC that needs that sorta "love"!

Hi, sorry for the troubles that it caused. Would it be possible if you could provide us the screenshot of your current firmware? You can locate it under the general settings and look for "About" section. The current firmware of the Mavic 2 Pro is v01.00.02.00 which means that this should be the firmware of your remote controller as well. You may try to uninstall and re-install the DJI Assistant 2 then try to update the firmware of your remote again. Please see the video tutorial on how to update the firmware using the DJI Assistant 2.

I just installed the update again. the message on the update screen says the device was updated to version V01. 00.0200 however the "current version" on the DJI assistant screen still says V01.00.0050

Did you try upgrading to V01.00.0100 first? Then check version in GO4 App... If it shows correctly, then try the V01.00.0200.

Did you try that way and it still shows the old version?

Also, the RC needs to be restarted (powerd off and back on) after the firmware upgrade......

I'm running out of fixes here.  I tried a new cable updating via DJI assistant to V01.00.0100, powered off the RC.  DJI assistant shows the update was successful.  Turned the RC on again and DJI assistant shows that I'm still running  V01.00.0050.  WTH?

Agree - WTH... Last nook and cranny -> what version of the Assistant 2? The latest is 2.0.4. Hopefully you're using at least v2.0.2....

What's your version? Should show down at the bottom right when opened, I think....

Also, I cross checked my Mavic 2 Pro... and I've not seen v01.00.0050..... wondering where that version came from...
But it could be causing the problem.... Notice the downgrade button next to v01.00.0000? i'd try downgrading to the base version and if successful, then moving forward with v01.00.0100 and then v01.00.0200.... Hopefullythat works....

If the downgrade isn't sucessful, then the Restore Factory Defaults would be the last step to try and then proceed to upgrade from there...

Assuming you have the Mavic 2 Pro you need to look
here rather than at the Mavic Pro downloads ->  DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom Downloads

The latest MAC download is here.... -> Assistant for Mavic 2 MAC version 2.0.4

Uninstall the Mavic version and install the Mavic 2 version. Try to downgrade back to v01.00.0000 and if successful, then attempt the updates sequentally with v01.00.0100 and then v01.00.0200. Remember to shutdown and restart the RC after each firmware cycle...

Last resort, "uninstall" then reinstall both go 4 app and assistant. Try upgrading via the go 4 app first, restart the rc after that and confirm the version on the go 4 app. No luck? Try on the assistant else I'm afraid you got a lemon rc to return to DJI.

For my case I wasn't able to upgrade the rc via assistant. It kept disconnecting despite changing cables, had to do it over go 4 app. But the darn go 4 android app can't finish downloading the firmware for the ac but it works from the assistant.

Hi, I'm testing a Mavic 2 Pro, and I'm having a problem charging the remote control. I used the DJI charger, but it doesn't work, it only indicates for a couple of seconds "Charging ...", is the remote control battery damaged? It´s a device that was not used for months and I have only been able to charge them up to 75% 3 days ago. Thanks.
