Hi All!

Things are getting into the low 40s (F) in the areas I'm flying in, and I so I'm planning to use the TB50's built in battery heater, but was also wondering what the recommended temp ranges were for running with the insulation stickers were?    I read through the battery manual and the only reference I could find was using the battery heater below 50(F), but said nothing about at what temp insulation stickers were a good idea.

I'm also interested in the max external temp I should run the stickers at - I do a fair amount of death valley shooting in the summer, and if I've installed the insulation, is it going to be an issue flying in 100 (F) weather?

Thanks!

I don’t have any for the tb50 battery but the ones for the tb47&tb48 say to install when temperatures drop below 41F and remove when above.

I would assume??? Same applies with ones with tb50?

What ever the temperature range is to put them on- I would say you definitely shouldn’t have them on in 100F temperatures !

I’m sure someone will chime in that has used the ones for tb50.

I take mine on and off as needed. Don’t charge with them on either. Just me.

Looking at the manual again, it says the ideal battery temp is between 59F and 68F - so I guess I can just watch the battery temps in the app to figure out when it's cold enough to put the insulation on.

Yeah. Always good to keep close tabs on battery temperature when flying in colder weather.

Good luck.

This is the spec for the Inspire 2 that is inside your manual. It is pretty simple: You will need to add the insulation stickers when operating in the cold weather and they will need to removed in the hot weather.
Operating Temperature
-4° to 104° F (-20° to 40° C)

15c or 60F

BEFORE take-off is the thing to worry about. It’s also a heater within the packs that can be initiated before launching
