Hehe, no that is the queens palace. I live in a group of houses next to it.

It is a WW2 German observation installation. It is possible to go in and look around. Many people say it is eerie inside. I just found it interesting. It is called the Odeon. Perhaps a better use would be a multiplex cinema. The island is so small, a full house would be one person per floor.
The actual cinema, in the town, recently changed from reel to reel films. The trick was to book you drinks in the pub across the road. When the next reel was fitted, a bell sounds in the pub and everyone dashed back. The new all digital system has ruined that ritual. All that is left is the picnic. You bring your flask of tea/coffee, perhaps something stronger and sandwiches to consume during the film.
Oh what fun.

I've only lived in fairly large urban areas - Bronx, NY, Chicago and Seattle.  It would be an adjustment.  But I crave the wilderness.

I am not a lover of cities. However the countryside has to have a strong influence to hold my interest. Vast expanse of rolling hills does nothing for me, either. People pay a fortune for a sea view. This soon becomes boring. I much prefer a small, busy harbour.

Nice shot with lots of visual interest.  Give me the High Sierra or slick rock or red rock terrain and I can be pretty happy.  The drone is new and I'm old so won't be toting it to high and remote places.

I'm old as well. It isn't the disadvantage it used to be.
