I just recently bought an OSMO Mobile 2, while I'm testing all its features I found that DJI GO app does not play well with my HTC U12+.As mentioned in the title, while I'm recording time-lapse video, when it reached the duration that I set e.g. 30 min. Most of the time, DJI GO app always hang/stuck at there. I couldn't stop the recording manually. In the end, I have to kill the DJI app and reboot my gimbal. But by doing this, the videos that I have recorded show 0s length and cannot be open at all. I have tried record time-lapse in different duration, the problem still comes and goes. I have tried to hard reset my phone and install DJI GO app only and retest again. However, the problem still occurs.
I have pulled a logcat file from my phone and upload here for DJI to analyst.
Below video shows, after the time-lapse is completed, the recording is still on-going.
Hello and good day caesium85. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with the timelapse recording function of your DJI Osmo Mobile 2. Have you tried a different mobile device to check if the result will be the same? We recommend using a recommended mobile device for your DJI Osmo Mobile 2 for compatibility and reliability of both the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 and the DJI Go application. For reference I will post the list of recommended mobile device list for the DJI Osmo Mobile 2. Thank you.
Thanks for the response. The recommended devices for Android sadly are not the 2018 latest model. Now we are closing to 2019, is DJI going to update the list for Android? Can't expect us to keep using old phones in order to use OM2, right? As suggested, I have tried other phones such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, HTC One M8, HTC 10 and HTC U11. There is no such issue that I encounter with my HTC U12+. So I suspect is HTC U12+ causing the problem?
Can you check with DJI engineers what might cause the recording cannot be stopped so I can report to HTC?
