Hi guys.

I recently got a brand new spark ( my 2nd one ) and i am experiencing weak signal from around 80m away, not very far. My first spark which i killed, could easily go 1km befofe i started getting errors. Does anyone have any ideas what to try? I am using a Note 9, with the spark controller, beginner mode is off. No matter what i try, it refuses to work for me

Hello and good day. I am sorry to know that you are having issues a weak transmission with your DJI Spark. Upon checking the list of recommended mobile devices the Samsung Note 9 is not yet recommended for your DJI Spark. It might not be able to make all of the functions and optimize the use of the DJI Go 4 application. For reference I will post the list of recommended mobile device for the DJI Spark. Thank you.

I would imagine if the S9 is supported the N9 would be.  How is one of,  if not the biggest smart phone of 2018 not on the list

In FCC mode I reached 3192 meters one way with my spark!

That's a very long way!! I'll have a look and give it a go.

Okay, so I have followed multiple tutorials on FCC mode, and no matter what GPS app, or settings I use, everyone I change over settings when it resets WiFi, it continues to have 13 channels, which my understanding is CE mode. Stumped as to what else to try.

Switch off your internet connection when you use the fake gps app, restart your device with internet off.
Then switch on the fake gps and then switch on the remote and drone, you get the prompt to change WiFi settings, click yes. After that the drone flashes yellow lights, it’s changing. After it’s finished you can switch off the fake gps app. And on every other boot up of the drone, when you get the prompt to change settings, click cancel every time to stay in FCC.

That worked perfectly, now it is showing only 11 channels, so I take it that is now in FCC mode.
