The Chem plant I work for is expanding and putting together a drone program for inplant inspections. I am wanting to get in on this oppurtunity. My question is, is an FAA Pilot License required for inhouse use. I'm not sure what are the requirements thru FAA.  Any input on this subject would be greatly appriciated. Merry Christmas to everyone!!

If you receive monetary rewards for your service (e.g., a paycheck from your employer) then you will need to be Part 107 FAA certified.

Yes, you would need what's called a Part 107 licence.

When it comes to studying, you can DIY or use an online course. I used Drone Pilot Ground School (expensed it for work) but many people use free resources like Rupprecht law's site.

I have a free resource on my website for passing the Part 107 exam. It provides everything you need to know to pass the Part 107 exam and even includes a full practice test.

Good luck studying!  Thanks, Zac.
