I thought I configured RTH in DJI GO 4, I take my hands off the sticks and the spark hovers, I press the RTH button on the RC and it continues to hover...there are several tutorials...LOL I need the "see spot run " tutorial or help thanks. here is what my settings page looks like

I think it did beep , will try again ..thanks. Like your A10 , Looks like its sending some combat mix down range.

How far away did you RTH?

I pressed till it made two beeps, will try holding longer. where in dji go do you configure what the spark does in the way of return to home. I would not want it to try and land over water, maybe I was in ATI mode?

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. As Rustic17 mentioned, you may need to press and hold the RTH button on your remote controller for you to use the Smart RTH. We highly recommend setting the altitude of the aircraft higher than any objects below to avoid the incident. Thank you for continued support and have a safe flight.

How RTH Works (lands = hovers at .3 meters)
3 types:
1.        Manual
2.        Low Battery
3.        Signal Loss
4 zones:
1.        0-3 meters
2.        3-20 meters
3.        20-100 meters
4.        > 100 meters
0-3 meters:
Drone just lands where it is at
3-20meters:
RTH at Current Altitude ON:
<2.5 meters high – drone will raise to 2.5 meters then RTH
>2.5 meters high – drone will remain and RTH
RTH at Current Altitude OFF:
Drone lands where it is at (just like 0-3 meters)
20-100 meters:
Drone ignores RTH at Current Altitude setting
Drone ascends to RTH Altitude setting then RTH and lands
Avoidance sensors are active (drone fly’s slowly):
If an object is sensed at 16ft in front or less drone stops and hovers
Then fly’s backward until sensor is cleared (if Backward Flying Allowed setting is ON)
Then ascends for 5 seconds (approximately)
Then resumes RTH
>100 meters:
Works like 20-100 meters but returns at 21 MPH (10 m/sec)
Avoidance sensors are OFF

Now that you’ve got it figured out, I suggest you forget about using it. Just fly it back. It seems a large percentage of fly aways happen when somebody frantically presses RTH in ATTI mode, or if a compass error happens during RTH. Unless your phone crashes, there’s little use for it.
