Only had my P3A a short time and have tried return to home button just to see if it works, but it doesn’t land where it took off from . The home point was set.

How far was it from the home point when it landed?

How far away was it when you hit RTH?  It must be more than 65 feet away or it will land where it is.  RTH landing within 5 feet or so of where it took off is normal.

Away at the moment ,  no laptop and try to find flight logs as never found before.

As stated above, it will land where it is if it is not at least 65 feet away, which is a little over 20 meters. I would try going to at least 30 meters and then try again.

Cheers for that I’ll give it ago

The new GPS system, will be much more accurate... hopefully fully functional by 2020.

Hello and good day Big kevo. I am sorry to know that you are having issue with the RTH of your DJI Phantom 3 Advance. May we know if you have updated the firmware of the DJI Phantom 3 Advance to it's latest version? You may need to press and hold the RTH button on your remote controller for you to use the said function properly.
