Overview:
  • Date: 2019.01.07
  • Firmware: v1.3.0.20 (this firmware is approx. 51MB)
  • DJI Mimo App iOS: v1.0.2
  • DJI Mimo App Android: v1.0.2

What’s New?
  • Added 1080p 25/50fps and 4K 25/50fps resolution to basic settings.
  • Added support to shoot 3x3 panorama photos when the tilt axis is between -20° and 80°.
  • Optimized FaceTrack in DJI Mimo.
  • Increased the time that the gimbal is in position to fit into the cover from five to eight seconds.
  • Optimized the focus in ActiveTrack and when detecting faces.
  • Optimized ActiveTrack when the gimbal is in Portrait and Flashlight mode.
  • Fixed the issue where a red tint appeared when using Auto White Balance (AWB) in scenes that were predominantly green.
  • Fixed the issue affecting some devices where the charging time was slow.

Notes:
  • Use auto calibration after updating the firmware.
  • If the update fails, restart Osmo Pocket and DJI Mimo, and retry.

You already had raws in pano mode from the day one. Just select jpg+raw from the app. It is not introduced in this firmware.
We are still waiting for raws in time-lapse.

When you power off your OP it will
1. Rotate gimbal into such a position that it is easy to put (slide) it into cover
2. Hold gimbal in this position for some time so that you can actually slide it into cover
3. Power off gimbal

Release notes refer to duration of item 2 above. Before it was 5 seconds, now it is 8 seconds.

Oh got it. So I can get more time to slide it into the cover with the camera being fix.

I have noticed a big improvement in so called focus pumping, I can see slight focus issue when moving from good light to low light but it’s tiny, in good light it’s not there at all, remember to calibrate your Osmo gimbal after FW update as advised not certain if this helps but for me this has improved.

When someone mentions focus pumping you a led to believe it’s like a heart continually pumping , this is not true and is very slight and very quick, I also have a couple of DSLR’s one that cost 10 times the price of OP and it also has small issues which are very easy to work around as the are with OP.

In manual mode no problems whatsoever, IMO Bang for buck this camera is right up there and hopefully dji will continue to update it to make it even better.

If this is what your using for pro work then it might be time to reconsider, yes D-cine should be there

I'm using as a convenience for stock alongside my other gear. IPhones can be used for stock so there's no reason why the Pocket can't be aside from the focus issue and the lack of D-Cinelike. As it stands it's a crippled device until DJI sort it out.

If you had the docking adapter still attached (the one below the screen), try removing it first and then connect the usb-c cable to the bottom again. It works for me.

Hi there, sorry for the troubles on updating the firmware, please restart the APP and Osmo Pocket and then update for three times, if it still fails, the device will need to be sent in for further evaluation.

Hi Roger, please make sure the adapter has been removed when connecting to the Type-C cable.
