I filmed this video a few days ago - my first flight in a big city! Thanks to the fact that big cities tend to host large international airports, it's no surprise that it's tricky to find a place to fly a drone. However, there are gaps to found between no fly zones, and that's what I found here.
I love flying in wild and rural places with their immense natural beauty, but it was undeniably exciting to fly in such a complex moving environment as the city. Rowing teams on the river, trains, jet boats, trains, and sea lions (see if you can spot him swimming by the bridge!) made for a spectacular afternoon flight. This was another situation where where the zoom on the Mavic 2 Zoom was immensely useful, since it allowed me to safely get close up footage of all this cool stuff!

Hi and good day Illuminations. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video from Portland. You did a great job and thank you for your support.
Thanks, the Sub is actually owned by OMSI (Oregon Museum of Industry and Science) and is open to the public. Both the Sub and the Museum are a lot of fun to visit! Right now OMSI is hosting the King Tut exhibit.

I live about an hours drive North in Washington - don't spend much time in cities, but when I do it's usually Portland I head to! The traffic may be bad, but it's not the nightmare that is driving anywhere near Seattle.......

Great footage! I think it was great to incorporate the mavic 2 zooms capabilities in this video! I love see what other people make in this city!
Thank you, the zoom capability was absolutely essential for this video.
