I have my birthday coming up soon, so I was wondering if I could ask my family for some hot new accessory for my Mavic 2 Pro.
At this point, I have Fly-More bundle (3 batteries, bulk charger, landing pad), small case, medium case, large pelican case, set of ND/CP filters (which I still get to use), and, gulp, DJI RE goggles.
I was thinking of prop protectors, but, in all honesty, they seem pretty useless in the tree-less outdoors of Southern California, they would be dead weight.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Hello and good day DarthSLR. Happy birthday in advance. I would recommend a  DJI Mavic 2 Charging Hub or a DJI Mavic 2 Car Charger and a big memory recommended Micro SD card for additional accessories on your DJI Mavic 2 Pro. For additional reference I will post a link where you can check the different accessories for your DJI Mavic 2 Pro. Thank you for your support.

Thank you, Stephen! I think I got those as a part of my Fly-More bundle, complete with 128Gb card, which I can't possibly fill even if I shoot 4K video non-stop while exhausting all 3 batteries.

New Polar Pro retractable landing gear. Neat.

You could add  a quality dog collar light as flashing beacon. They run for about 200 hours and are visible kilometers away.  100m waterproof too if you sink the thing ... you wont get your toy back but at least you know where it is and can visit for the next 8 days and cry

Sun hood for your remote/mobile. Very useful

The Mavic 2’s air intake leaves it susceptible to dust in my opinion. One useful item that  I purchased for my Mavic 2 Zoom was a landing pad which I use when landing and taking off from dusty areas

Many happy returns on your birthday - A 4th battery would be good by the look of your list. Be careful not to over accessorise the Mavic - remember that one of it's main features is portability - with too many gadgets you'll be pulling it all around in a suitcase and will forget to bring the drone LOL

You are supposed to fly within sight distance ...

I can not see why anyone would need a range extender with a Mavic ...

A bit like ignoring no-fly zones.

On some places you are allowed to fly outside vlos. Besides that, for me the range extenders never worked

Are you assuming that I only fly in countries with vlos in their drone code? If you are you would be mistaken, many countries do not have distance or height restrictions. As well there are other reasons, if you live in an area of heavy wifi congestion, boosted range extenders help blast through the ambient 5.8 and 2.4 background noise.

I agree dust can be a problem, this is why I got one in my Fly-More bundle. I take off unprotected from concrete only, otherwise, it's pad or hand

I've just ordered the new Skyreat silicone propo holders. Tried the PGYTECH and they are by far the best (and better looking) if you don't have any skin on your drone but in my case, as their lower part is made of hard plastic, they started scratching my wrap. In addition, the upper props are kept tigh against the body of the drone (don#t like that). Also tried the Skyreat and while they are ok (ish), they keep the props too separated appart making the fitting into the bag cumbersome. Also they have the tendency to fall off.

The Freewell ones seems to combine the best of both worlds. Correct prop angle and no hard plastic parts. Will see.

I have PGYTECH ones

Thank you again, everybody, for your attention and suggestions!

Smart controller sounded really nice, but a bit too pricey, and maybe too bulky, kinda kills the portability concept.

So, at this time, I have chosen the path of enlightenment and got these:

Once they arrive and we're out of the rainy season (these are the wettest months here in SoCal) hope to get some combo work done (long exposure DSLR + lit drone).
We'll see how it goes!

Not an accessory you can buy but ...

... for anyone that has forgotten to take the gimbal cover off before starting the drone up ... Or even flying with the gimbal cover still on ... ahem ...

Get a thin 15cm strip of bright fabric and tape it to the cover.  You will not forget to take the cover off again.

You find similar on fighter jets.

Enjoy

I was looking for some time for some gloves that work properly with touch screens. Bought a couple of pairs and struggled. They are either to bulky so it's difficult to pin and locate with a finger or the capacitive patch on the finger/s don't work properly.

I then ordered these

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F302992272797

They work great and are by far the cheapest ones.

Downsides ... they are thinner and not really suitable for sub zero temperatures but anything above 0 they are fine and they work.

You could of course also just cut the top of some of the fingers on a thicker glove off ...

Fishing gloves are made where the index finger, middle finger and thumb slip on and off over them. Probably more ideal.
