As others have done this I thought I'd share what I made while waiting for the commercial products to become available.

I have a few old microphone stand accessories lying around so started hunting around for parts.
First, an old microphone isolation holder to take apart and clean up.

Taking it apart meant getting the rubber mounts off and stretching the steel clamp spring outwards to obtain a similar pressure I would use to hold the pocket myself.

Then putting it back together again.

Then I had to put a new base onto it to fit the base I had lined up for it. I just reamed out the center a bit for a good fit and glued it together.

Now it was ready for an old microphone tabletop stand and combined hand holder.

Screwed together they look like this.

Then to see how the Osmo Pocket has been gripped and if the rubber sides of the grip stop wear and damage to the Pockets sides.

So far, so good. But why stop there. I have a slightly damaged phone case and a clamp from a gooseneck windshield I can cut up and epoxy glue together.

Clamp to main stand/holder. Side view.

Connect to Pocket and switch on.

_RSF2483_V2 edited 2019_V2 edited 2019.jpg

Extend the legs within the handle ready to use as a charging stand or low level stand for general use.

So that's it. It's solid enough and isolates any handling noise from the microphones.

That's a nifty mounting solution!

That's a nifty mounting solution!

My only gripe with it is getting the phone in and out of two phone cases, which while typing this has given me an idea! I'm going to try taking the rubber surround out of the casing for the camera grip and see if that outer case actually holds my new case, which I think is actually thinner
[Goes away to have a go]
Well, what do you know? It works! I now also have a sunshade for the phone as well. The good thing is because I can rotate the whole thing when it's put down, I can now shoot 3x3x3 Panoramas like this one.

Unfortunately, due to file size limitations, I can't upload anywhere near the actual size of the image or even with less compression.

And I thought I was the only person in the world with one of those Aiwa table top mic stands!  Mine is now atop a 3.6m pole for "flying" the Pocket.  I use an ordinary spring jow mic clip for a holder.

My Aiwa mic still works all be it is a bit noisy compared to modern equivalents. I'm amazed anyone recognised it.
