I have ordered a couple of camera hoods.

The benefits seem twofold; protecting the camera/gimbal in case of a collision or crash and preventing some glare/stray light entering the optics.

I have ordered the PGY version which is narrower and follows the body of the M2P plus another one of ebay which is a little wider.

I have a feeling the PGY one will interfere with sideward camera movements, the other one less so.

I'll report back.

May I add a possible third benefit ... the hood will protect the cam from strong side winds thus preventing possible unwanted gimbal movements.

Anyone worked out if the glare I have attached is normal with the dome on or is this defective? I am brand new to the drone game so any information will help!!
