When Extending DJI Care for another year - Why does DJI require Proof of Life on Drones that are still covered under Factory Warranty and are still covered under DJI Care?

If Drone has failed whether it is due to manufacturing defect or a crash, either way Drone is covered.  Why then does DJI insist upon a owner jumping through all hoops?

Hello and good day HedgeTrimmer. Thank you for the raising this inquiry. Video verification is needed for us to check first, if the drone if the flight controller’s serial number is clear, and the flight controller’s serial number in the system matches the aircraft’s serial number. second if the gimbal of the drone can finish the auto calibration and can reach its upward and downward endpoints. Third, if there are no errors reported in the application's status bar. Finally if the GPS signal shown in the transmitted video image is good. Thank you.

There is a communication problem here.

If drone had Gimbal problems, there were errors as reported in GO-4 status bar, GPS signal was bad, or video image was poor - a person having a drone still under factory warranty and also having DJI Care coverage - could simply send Drone and/or RC in for repair.

There would be no point in a person taking out another year of DJI Care, on a bad Drone and/or RC that is already fully covered.  The person would instead have bad Drone and/or RC repaired under existing Factory warranty or existing DJI Care.
