Many will suggest if your phantom is flying ok, leave it alone. The Phantom 3 has not been manufactured for several years now. Although there were some firmware upgrades for newer aircraft that was applicable for the Phantom 3 series, I don't think there was any major issues addressed for these aircraft. A lot of what you will get with the later releases are updated NFZ data, which might not be what you are wanting. LOL
If you aren't having any issues, you might leave it alone.

Ive only had a drone for about 2 months  but I researched them for about 8months before I bought one. I only found this Forum a week ago , but DJI n You Forum Admins do have my support 100% . I picked DJI already thinking they made the best drones but seeing the Great customer service and support here in the forum I could be a customer for life

I'm thankful that P3 updates stopped. Only problem I've had (& mentioned in another thread) is that recently craft mysteriously disconnected. Replaced cable & all good.

That was an easy fix. Much like the disconnect, after updating, and needing to rebind.

Thankfully, relinking was a breeze.
