My Spark had been replaced/fixed in Holland at the end of sumer. Scince then i spotted 2 main issues:
1. High range decreese - maybe reasoned by software - in fact this is minor issue - i still can rech at least 200-300m on CE what is more then enough ( before it was easy 500m)

2. THE MORE IMPORTANT:

Image from drone is drifting in one direction. drone is standing still in air in no wind conditions, compas is calibrated and i have GPS mode

BUT image from drone during filming or shooting photos is rotating approximietly angle of 5-10' in clockwise direction. This is new problem, which was not existing before.

In my opinion this may be also software issue - drone seems to stay in fixed direction in air. This problem aslo sometimes apears before start from the ground.


Taken steps:

1. Reinstalled software in drone and in controller via DJI Assistant 2
2. Recalibrated controller and drone
3. Replaced Impillars
4. Reinstalled DJI GO
5. Tried Android and Ios OTG and Wifi

Please let me know if i should send drone on warranty or can i solve the issue somehow alone.

It's an example of the perfect answer that suits for any question.

In your sample drift is shown as a shot action. How long actually it can last? Does it drift and stop or it continue to drift during the whole time drone is turning on?

it's taking about couple seconds - as well on groud as in air.

The drifting have to be stopped finally, at least becouse this is not 360' angle camera, and i think it reaching limit of stabilisation.

It happening in atti and in gps mode. On attached video during drifting drone was not in the air. So it was optical stabilisation?
It was for sure no mechanical issue with gimball but maybe hardware/software.

I suspect hardware issue becouse:

1. Drifting in video is in my opinion some sort of stabilisation delay/issue
Other issues spotted meanwhile as minor issues:

1. Huge delay ~0,5sec compering to my fiend's spark
2. Shorter flight distance
3. Very often it's entering ATTI mode in air. after getting fix on groud.

Flight was done always when Sun KP index <2

This is no excuses but shering my observation according to what was with first spark I had.

I think I will make service notification, and I will shere You feedback from service in Holland.
Anyway this is dead season for drones so I will be more patient with servicing.

Sitting on the table, I think we can rule out the drone's motion control. Looks like something having to do with stabilization to me.

Yes indeed. I spotted this problem when drone was in the sky.
In my opinion it was not turning, but it was hard to proof in thread, that's why i decided to put the spark on shelf on fixed location with motors off.

At the beginning i was even thinking then problem may be with controller.

This is for sure something reasoned by digita/optical stabilization issue.

I open ticket with service and i will inform You about status of this issue.

as I know Spark hasn't any digital stabilisation. your case is very strange. please keep us informed

That happens every now and then to mine, too.
My best guess is that every pan is corrected, smoothend by the digital 3. axxis of our Gimbal.
Which could be a cam fw issue.

Is the picture in the end perpendicular, like the Spark, in front of the DVDs ?

Guys. For sure there is some sort of stabilization of 3rd axis. Please take a look at crop range between photo and video mode.

When We switching to video the image is less wide then on photo mode.

we have a "hybrid" 3 axxis gimbal! 2 mechanic, one digital.
That is Spark 101, usually

It's hard to judge when image was exactly in 90' degrees - at the begining or at the end of video. distance was around 20-25 cm from camera to dvd's. I cannot repeart test now, becouse drone is already packed to be shipped to DJI service.

Hello, malfunction had been recognized by service centre, with replacing listed element:

1. Spark Gimbal
2. Aircraft Main Board

For sure and claryfication, my drone fall down in may 2018 from the sky, after battery malfunction
After repairment done by dji service i spotted this little issue but i was not sure about my observation, i was pritty sure, then problem did not exist before.
Then i open "online repair request".

Meanwhile i read couple of local threads in my language about simillar issue. Some people wrote about such problems even without any crash of drone.
Maybe there was some sort of defect before.


I will Inform You about resoults of service.

Hello. Yesterday i received the drone via ups.
I’m optimistic becouse it’s look like new drone or refurb. Not sure but i received new cartbord box with plastic seal.
Drone with new impillers but without battery, what is obvious becouse i did not attach my li-pos.

I have to reconnect RC from my Fly more combo and activate drone in go4 app.

Thank you dji tech support and service for help and informing me about situation.
