I have a couple Advanced aircraft, and I think the props last as long as you take care of them. If I come in contact with a tree limb, or anything, I change them out. They are not expensive. On the other hand, I have one phantom that I have had the same props on for over a year now. And I fly about as much as anybody. I put the props on and leave them. I for one have a hard case for my phantoms, and I can store the aircraft without taking the props on and off. Which I like. That way you are not wearing the threads out. I closely look at my props before each flight. Sometimes you may hit bugs, debris you are not aware of. But as long as they are not chipped, etc., they stay on. Of course it is nice to change them out if you have some different colors for appearance, but they should last a very long time if taken care of. I don't think it should be a mandatory thing after a certain number of flights or a set time frame. |
