so i have my new smart controller, its really really nice and i am quite impressed with it

my one gripe is that for £579 there wasnt a case. I have ordered a scratch resistant cover for the display but does anyone have any ideas for the controller its self ? has anyone made an aftermarket case for it ? or better for it and the mavic 2 ?

Last question - there are 2 big screw holes at the bottom, is that for an accessory as yet unreleased ? i would say sun hood but they are at the wrong side - ideas ?

The PolarPro case for the 7.8” Crystal sky fits perfectly.

I will confirm later if the DJI protector case for the Mavic 2 accommodates it, it does according to DJI but will confirm later.

As for the screw holes, it would suggest future accessories maybe a tripod mount. The CrystalSky 5.5 also has two mounting holes on the base and the 7.8 also has two on the side.

Original DJI Mavic 2 Protector case could take this controller when two foam parts are removed from place where normal remote fit.

SC perfectly fits in the DJI bag that comes with Fly More Combo, it goes next to the drone. That's how I carrying it.

I've added a lanyard using two picture hanging d-rings.  The screw holes are 4M (metric).   A length of 6mm works.  Actually, the joysticks will also screw into those holes.  So I'm going to get about inch or so long 4M screws to throw into my kit as cheap joysticks, saving the spares for when I really lose the originals.

All of the supplied gear from the drone and the flymore kit fits in this case, (other than the soft bag) the car charger & power bank adapter, goes under a deck which is under the aircraft. the blades go into a pocket next to the SRC and the ND filters go in-front of the SRC in a pocket, if you have the DJI ones, mine don't fit, so I keep memory cards in there.

I find these bags great, there fur lined Mavic Controller fits great, you can also fit your mavic2 in one of these, the cheapest accessory dji sells @$7 , I have 5 of them

Spooky...I ordered what I thought was a Mavic 2 sleeve the other day but it was such a tight fit for the Mavic 2 Pro that I didn't want to use it.

When I checked I had ordered the original DJI Mavic sleeve Part 41 for £8.49 from Amazon UK so I quickly ordered the correct DJI Mavic 2 Aircraft Sleeve for Mavic 2 Zoom, Mavic 2 Pro for £13.99(?) from the same supplier.

Didn't think it was worth sending back the original sleeve so I used it for slipping my SRC into to store in my Fly More Kit bag.

I want this for the Smart Protector but with a full extension to protect the screen.  I don't need a full case, I don't think.

Yes, I ordered a screen protector, too.

I just wrote PGYTECH and suggested that they make a full size one for the SC.

I use the fly more kit bag

as a redux to this i have found the pgy-tech case https://www.pgy-tech.com/carrying-case-for-mavic-2 fits it as long as you dont have anything in the "lid" just lay it on top of the batteries where the tablet goes and it fits perfectly

We’ve got the Dji Mavic 2 Pro case as mentioned above. It’s a great case, the foam inserts for the std controller remove, so the Smart Controller can fit in the slot.
