high guys would u still recommend the use of parabolic antennas, to increases range and make the drone more reliable thanks

Hi, we highly suggest you use a recommended antenna to your DJI Spark. Also, it is not advisable to use the third-party accessories since it is not tested by DJI and it can void your warranty. The compatibility and performance are unable to be guaranteed. The ranges depend on many factors, especially the flight environment. Please choose an open area where the GPS is good and no magnetic interference to fly the drone. Thank you for your support!

Yes, I use it. And it does improve the quality of the signal and the range by like 300/500 meters.
But you need to be pointing right at the drone when you use them.

Antenna are very sensitive things maybe they are not exactly perfect and they don't really work. that might depend where you bought them.

First time I hear of them. It is possible that their extender is defective, like are the Chinese copies, they don’t work!
Sunny life parabolic extenders work very well, I mean every video I’ve seen using the extenders, they were the sunny life extenders.

I’ve seen a video on Youtube of one guy taking his Spark 1404 meters high up in the sky
I think that’s about it’s limit.

i will try to break that i think ur normal range should reflect in going up so i should get 2km+ hopefully i want a world record and here there is no limit on how high i can go

No, going up is much slower than forward flying. So you won’t be able to reach the same distance going up as when you fly forward

i will mod the speed of going up to double and going down to double
this may help a bit and i will go up until 25% and will shut engines off and turn them on near ground if this is successful i will have my drone in one piece

i will do research and i will do this after getting a mavic pro
and i may perhaps not do such stunt and just settle for safe height

I hope everything turns out good for you if you will try the challenge that you are proposing.
Shutting off mid flight and then turning on the engines close to the ground,  is something that I didn’t do yet.

if u have them pointing up it will be bad for going up so i will have them pointing forward so they give best signal for the drone

yea i will wait for the least windy day here its a dessert climate so air is either fast or none
good chance it will be in a desert so if something goes wrong no risk of crash harming someone
