i like to ask when the spark drone goes upgrade to video 4k
i sure this can with a firmware update but they like to do it ? and when
its a awesume drone works fine super good 1080P and pics on 4k

I think that the problem is with a Spark core. Camera is ready for 4k, but processor is too weak to process. There for so important intelligent modes as Point of Interest and CourseLock(TapFly Free) are absent in Spark.

Hi, I've been watching some time lapses using licthi app, technically is possible to shoot on 4K not video but timelapses using intervalomenter feature, here's why, the picture size is 3968×2976 the 4K resolution is 3840 2160 so using a video software you can import the photo secuence and process it as 4K timelapse. I'll be doing this during the weekend.

cool, i recommend tripod mode for smoother shots

power plant soon gone recorded at 310 meters high no problems all normal with the dji spark

Far as i know, the camera and the procesor of the spark are both capable of 4k footage, but because of the 2 axis gimbal instead of 3,the 4k image is cropped do 1080p to replace the 3rd axis stabilisation wich in this case is msde electronicaly.

Processor can just crunch it fine.... but headroom is used to stabilize yaw axis electronically instead of mechanically. That actually proves processor can crunch it fine.... it's all about not the resolution but the bitrate actually. And Spark is at like 20mbs.... so not that much to digest.
