So lately I'm noticing about 5minutes after flying the iPad will start to get some very very bad LAG and go to No Sigal. Then catches up and still super laggy. I made sure no apps were running in the background, I restarted it, I removed the case from it and tried hardware decode on and off and no difference there.

Anyone else having this issue or suggestions? With my iPhone 6 I haven't experienced any issues like this.

have you got "hardware decoding" enabled in the App?

Sorry ignore me, rea yourt post properly, yuo have got HD enabled.
have yuo had a play with the transmission settings, set it to 4Mb?

I have not tried that and really would hate to have to limit that feature but I'll give it a try in a few..

Blahh this Phantom 3 and my iPad min 2 is driving me crazy! I've reinstalled app, changed transmission rate to lower, made sure all apps are quit in the background, took case off. Have Hardware Decode enabled but everytime after about 5ish minutes the iPad gets HOT!!!!! and things just get laggy as heck. iPhone 6 doesn't do this at all.

I'm starting to think its a memory leak?

What are you doing with the video cache? Dump the cache and see how it reacts.

I'll give that a try as well but its a shame since I enjoy playing with the Director app but having a functional iPad is more  important lol

I'm using a mini 2 as well.. but I'm on a older iOS version.  No issues.   I suggest you back up your IPAD and do a wipe it and try again.

It tells the software ( Pilot App in this case, ) to use hardware power in the GPU instead of trying to do it itself with software/cpu.

Thanks, I guess I will enable that.

I'm hoping this issue gets fixed with next app update / fw. My buddies brand new Android phone gets so hot it tells him to cool it down. Something is going on with the App I think a memory leak.

I have a mini 2 and I just  connected to my P3A with the props off to see what the difference was with Hardware Encode on and off, and I can't see any difference.  Latency looks exactly the same, about a quarter second.  No change with Wifi on and off as well but agree it might as well be off.
