Thanks for watching....   I was surprised how easy it came apart...  Thankfully it wasn't in the air..

It is surprising how easily things can go wrong - especially props.

Weird thing is, on the damaged prop I tried to break the other foot off, it's extremely hard to do..  So i think the foot that came apart  must have cracked or weakened from normal use.

Doesn't sound too good - hence always best to check the props before and after every flight

Guilty as charged, sir!
Thank you for the reminder.
My drone has 205 flights, never crashed, original props..
Go 4 app should have a popup every 100th flight: "If you have'nt replaced props yet, do it now!"

Time for replacing those blades, sure.

Yeah i'd rather replace 4 props every so often than risk a propeller failure mid air.    I will check mine more often from now on.

You're welcome.    I thought other Drone users might find it useful.   I wasn't planning on a Video.   Just happened so it served to show others to be careful with their drones..

Disturbing video.... however I own that Spark including its darn propellers and not vice versa. Thus, I decided to still be careless and refuse to check these. Paranoia settings totally off.

Life is too short to check the propellers!

Exactly.... I never fly drones I cannot afford to loose. If anyone does, (s)he's doing it wrong!

Same exact thing happened to me!

I let my son try to fly my Spark indoors the first day and and he flew it into a wall.  (very slowly in beginner mode) everything seemed to be okay with the Drone outside of some scrapes on the prop and I flew it a number of times after.  When I took the props off a few weeks later and after a number of flights, I found this tab was broken - or it broke when I took it off.  The prop was either held in place by one tab for several flights or the broken tab wasn't fully broken off until I remove the prop.    ...I also felt pretty luck.  I've taken them off a few times sense and found no issue so I have to assume the break was related to that minor crash.

Yeah maybe the props can still be held in place with one leg but I wouldn't risk it especially flying over water.   I think we were both lucky we found they were broken b4 they failed in the air.
