If you mean to set an exact amount of metres (feet), it isn't provided. But you always can adjust it by yourself just dispose the drone on the distance and an altitude that you need and than run Circle. The drone will keep that parametre during the operation.

There isn't one. Just set the drone as close or as far away as you want (or how close/far away it will maintain active track) and set it away.

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. The distance can be changed when DJI GO 4 v4.1.2 and firmware v01.00.0400 is being used. You may refer to the details below. Please let us know if you have other concerns.

1. In Dronie mode, the default distance is 40 m. You can set the distance from 10 m to 60 m. The distance is the horizontal distance between the original position and endpoint. The maximum speed is 3 m/s.
2. In Helix mode, the default distance is 40 m. You can set the distance from 10 m to 75 m. The distance is the straight-line distance between the original position and endpoint. The maximum speed is 6 m/s.
3. In Circle mode, the aircraft will circle the target subject with the original radius and height. The distance cannot be set in the app. The maximum speed is 6 m/s.
4. In Rocket mode, the default distance is about 40 m. You can set the distance from 10 m to 70 m. The distance is the height between the point when the aircraft flies directly above the subject and the endpoint. The maximum speed is 2 m/s.
5. In QuickShot, the acceleration is constant and the speed is not fixed.
6. The height in Dronie and Helix modes can be adjusted based on the distance between the aircraft and target. The value is not fixed.

Oh, this is nice, verbose and extensive answer.

Tony, your numbers are wrong.  I just did a test of the modes the other day and Dronie is 40-120 meters, Helix is out to 150 meters, and Rocket is up to 90 meters.  My question is:  in Circle the drone knows via GPS where it is and where the RC/you are, but what if you make the target box over an object 50 meters away from the RC/you?  How can it define a circle around a target it doesn't know the GPS coordinates of???  Or does it just maintain a constant angle to the target???
