Arnfield and Bottoms reservoirs bracket the village of Tintwistle, at the lower end of the Longdendale valley.
The start of Woodhead Pass, which carries the trunk road from Manchester over the Pennines into Yorkshire.

Hi Ken. Yes possibly glacial erosion from the last ice age.

Hi. Thanks. Yes it's a tortuous route over Woodhead but some of the best scenery around. I, too, have travelled it in all seasons. Congestion is the bane of Tintwistle residents' lives at busy times, alas.

I agree , it’s the road works that bring a tier to my eye lol , I’m new to these drones but I’m going to stop off up there and get some shots myself , thanks for the inspiration

You may not have seen this. Some of my early work, which I plan to update soon with my new drone - the Mavic 2 Zoom.  This video was done in several stages with the P4.
