Near carnage happened yesterday, entirely my fault and the Mavic's smarts are what saved it. I thought I'd try a shot flying over an overpass and a truck came at the wrong time. You can see the near miss. Rather embarrassing but it didn't end in tragedy. Something about this thing makes me want to take risks, though, and see what it can do. I promise I'll be more careful in the future and avoid those famous last works: "Hey, watch this."
If you like trains then keep watching, please.
Reminded me of this (Iook at 5:52) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpPw3A8CRaY
I watched that; at least I didn't hit the truck. As for the power lines, I checked out the flight path before shooting that video. I knew I was okay there.
You should not have been flying that low in that area. This is kind of dangerous flying that is going to cause Drones to be Banned.
Had drone impacted trailler, driver could have paniced and lost control. Or splattered drone remains hit other vehicles, startling those drivers, and them losing control.
