Thank you for posting this comprehensive tutorial here, what a great insight. I would be interested to hear your opinions or tips regarding how best to link scenes when editing, i.e what best follows a gimbal moving down or up scene? What scene should follow a pan left or right scene? I mostly film landscapes.  Thank you.

Thank you for the comment.
In my opinion everything should be natural and flowing smoothly, meaning you better not to overuse the same motion over and over and over and introduce different type of composition and movements every so often. However there is no so much as a "strict" rule in our genre of what to follow what. We all could learn from great piece of cinematography and apply it to our situation.
For example BBC Earth has a lot of drone shots you can see how it edits, Prometheus , Blade Runner 2049 and so on also has some. So just watch and see how real professional DoP or editors cut and "compose" motion picture.

I enjoy this theme, I like to make beautiful videos, I dream of making my own movie. And now I master the program screencapture.com , the functionality of this program helps me, it's easy and understandable. It's interesting to make beautiful cuts after traveling or long trips. Then the material is rich and fascinating.

Hey Shervin,

Thanks for sending the link to your video.
In my article, I was talking about creating cinematic films, but your video is another genre which is a blog or travel videos. Unfortunately, I don't really know much about that, since I am concentrating on more cinematic footage. Perhaps a vlogger will be a better choice to come for a bit of advice in that scenario
I wish you good luck.

What hardware/video card setup are you using?  I find the hardest thing after getting great 4k footage is working with it.  Even with a $4k computer I still feel the software and rendering, especially if trying to add any fx is painful

I use 2017 iMac 25” (not the top of the line)
One reason to move to Davinci Resilve was slow pkayback and difficultlues with grades in Premier.
Yes vfx is a pain even in Davinci but it’s manageable
