DJI Gamora Posted at 2-12 14:01
Hi @Brett Brando, all released products that are available in the market have undergone thorough testing and we are sure that it should work as advertised. We
hate not being able to offer features that our users may need and that is why we also continue adding functions with some of our products. Our units are used in varying manners and we also continue discovering what we can optimize. We know that this function may be 100% critical for you so let me forward this to
our developers so we can serve your needs best. Nevertheless, our products are all ready. If there are any other concerns with your user expereience, fel free to get in touched with us. Hey there DJI Gamora. I am about to enlighten you of things in your company that you are not aware of (but of course she is aware).

Maybe you want to tell us all which group tested fully the Goggles RE and the Mavic 2's. They were even sold together as a working set. There has been a major problem with them for about half a year. You have even stopped responding with your typical "We are working on it, please be patient and check our official website for updates" stuff. So tell me again that these "have undergone thorough testing and we are sure that it SHOULD work as advertised". I guess using the word "should" leaves you an out.
"We hate not being able to offer features that our users may need and that is why we also continue adding functions with some of our products."
Can you name me one thing that you added that wasn't in a previous version. I can think of many things that were in previous versions or lesser models that weren't available on release of the new model. Then there is no descent information on if or when said features will be added. Then it is released at different times to different groups around the world. Then will iOS be released first or Android users be the lucky ones to test the release for bugs. On top of that, some of the controls operate differently depending on whether you have iOS or an Android device. The Android users have been asking for half a year or so when the remote control will stop draining the battery in their phone. You can turn it off on iOS but not Android. Again, not telling us if or when a fix for this will be available. Just the same old "We have forewarded this to our bla bla bla because we know this is important to you. Please be patient and check our official website for announcements." DJI obviously does not care at all about their customers.
"Our units are used in varying manners and we also continue discovering what we can optimize."
I have seen where your customers (me included) have made lots of great suggestions. The problem is you don't listen to us. I have not seen one customer suggestion make its way into the units or software. EXAMPLE: ATTI Mode. I applied the "atti mode" hack so that I could use ATTI mode and not be stuck with the unit constantly switching between Vision, ATTI, and GPS modes risking a crash. This hack is done using an older version of your Assistant software so there is no reason this could not be implemented with just a few keystrokes on your end. Everything you need is already there, you just refuse to give your customers what we need. We are not idiots. We have been asking for this for some time and you refuse to do anything about it. You call my drone a "Mavic 2 Pro. A real "Pro" version would have atti mode on it. So instead of helping use the drone in varying manners like you claim, you are limiting us. When flying in certain situations atti is needed and you say you are continuing to discover what we can optimize. Give me a break. This is just one of many examples I have found.
"We know that this function may be 100% critical for you so let me forward this to

My Mavic 2 Pro is my first drone and obviously will be my last DJI product. I was looking for something to use in my photography and have always wanted to fly a fpv drone for fun. I will be keeping my M2P for photography, but is kind of useless for fpv style flying which is what I was looking for as well.
My MiniWhoop will be here in two days and finally I will be able to fly in and around my house without any restrictions from DJI. I got locked out here at home with the new geofencing updates months ago. I can't even start the props inside my house. The last time I flew was a couple of weeks ago on vacation. I loaded the new updates to check out waypoints even though I already got tired of waiting for DJI to release what was promised a half year earlier and purchased Litchi. All of the sudden I am getting disconnects. Now that I am home, I cant even troubleshoot what is wrong with it. Now according to DJI, all I need to do is drive a few miles away so I can test it. Then drive back, hook up to the computer, make some adjustments and then drive a few miles again to see if it worked. Get very upset and repeat.... You have no right to stop me from using it inside my house!!! And by the way, if you have Litchi, don't even bother with DJI's waypoints. They fall rather short of what Litchi is capable of. And theres another DJI problem. A third party can write better software for the M2P than the manufacturer themselves. That speaks a whole lot about what DJI is really about to me and it isn't the customer/end user.
For anyone going to purchase a DJI product, be aware, for the most part, they make incredible bits of engineering. But do your research before you purchase. I wish I did. I would not have purchased a DJI product in the first place due to them telling me where I can use what I bought and that general "forget the customer" attitude. Don't purchase the M2P for the Hassleblad camera as Hassleblad has very little to do with it. They purchased the dying company and are using the name to catch peoples attention (like me) into thinking there is a real Hasslebald on the drone. It is a great camera don't get me wrong but putting the Hassleblad name on it is quite a stretch. All companies exaggerate claims nowadays and DJI is right there with the best of them. How about their distance claims or the Mavic 2 having a max hover time of 31 minutes. Really? Has any of you been able to keep the drone in the air for anywhere near that long? I didn't think so, but untruth in advertising is considered the norm these days. Look at fast food....
One last rant before examples.
You would think that a multi-billion dollar corporation could hire forum Administrators and reps that understand and can speak halfway descent english. First off, most of the replies are automated. You can tell when a real person is at the keyboard because the language skills improve slightly. But then when the real people start typing the english is better but far short from what they should present to their customers. Really, how much would it cost you to hire administrators that are fluent in english fo the forums. Unfortunately even the forums are plagued with people just posting to get points and not even reading the OP's original post.
Example:
First line of OP's post, "I'm in shock, my 10 day old drone dramatically at full tilt flew away from in perfectly calm weather."
Now a follow up post just a couple of posts later (I have also had problems with this poster and is one of the reasons I will no loger be participating here).
"Just a couple of things , was it very windy , and what stick mode where you using ?"
Apparently it can get "very windy" in "perfectly calm weather". Come on, read the post first, collect points later...
Done ranting, now for some good reading....
Here are just some of the examples I found that show how "properly tested" their products are and how their Customer Service is just "Award Winning".
Judge for yourself.

So this is the end of my rant and unfortunately I don't really feel any better. I'm hoping anyone who is looking at a DJI product like I was beforehand can use this to judge for themselves if they really want to get involved with DJI.
But then in two days I will have a drone that I can fly when and where I want without dealing with logging in, updates, geofencing, and all the other DJI stuff.
Be cool and fly safe always...
