I have collected a small selection of footage of birds in the short time I have owned my Mavic, so I thought I'd splice together what I hope is the first of many sequences of birds. Great blue herons are quite common around these parts, so you will see a number of them, some mallards, pigeons, and geese. I have tried to avoid bothering the birds, but surprise them sometimes. Other times they don't seem particularly disturbed my the presence of the drone, and occasionally they just showed up in the video. Hope you enjoy.

Topher,
Really enjoyed the video of the birds.
Especially like the shot at frame 0:26. with the ducks on the log and the heron on the end.

Thanks. I didn't mean to get so close; the birds were flying toward me.

Topher,
Really enjoyed the video of the birds.
Especially like the shot at frame 0:26. with the ducks on the log and the heron on the end.

That was a great scene, with so many ducks and herons all in one place. I got some great photos as well.

Odd to see Herons and Ducks (Mallards) sitting so peacefully together.   In Missouri, the GBH is consistently feeding on baby ducks and the occasional sick adult.   In my experience the ducks are always uncomfortable around the big predator.   Nice film.
