Hello everyone, last week I made some videos on the snow and it seems to me that the images are not sharp (especially in the sides).. I shot in dlogm f2.8 and I made the post with davinci resolve increasing the sharpness to 0.47. I put the link to see an example video:

What do you think?
Thanks

Looks pretty darn good to me -- remember this is essentially a flying cellphone camera, so you can't expect DSLR quality.

Fwiw, if you upload the video to Youtube or Vimeo, more folks will likely weigh-in.

Above all on the right side it's all blurry, before it has never done it before. Watching videos that are on youtube, it does not seem very bad as a camera.

I didn't notice that in my viewing, fwiw, in fact thought the mountains on the right were remarkable.

You can expect some edge softness, but if you are worried about lens de-centering, take some photos perpendicular to a brick wall to diagnose. Good luck!

Unfortunately many lenses sometimes have less sharpness in the pictures sides. I read many m2p also.
What are your camera settings? Colour? h.264? Have you apllied any distortion correction? Sometimes when adding distortion correction the sides tend to lose sharpness.

Even though some people report that their M2Ps have problems on the right sight with bluriness, you video looks just fine.

I have applied distortion correction, but even if I don't apply it, the video remains the same. Dlog m h265, when instead I leave normal in h264 it seems that it doesn't lose quality in the sides

You will find that sharpness is optimal at apertures between approx 4.0 and 7 to 8.

Closed down or wide open, ultimate sharpness will slightly suffer. This is normal and any lens, no matter how expensive will have a sweet spot.

I can see the issues on the right, my mavic 2 does this if I change settings, for me I’m happy using auto setting, 4K with n-d 8 filter. Regardless, I think it looks petty good, nice job.....

More than anything else it only does when it is in dlog m, if I put h264 remains clear..

However I would like to know how it is possible that on youtube the videos of the mavic 2 pro are perfect and clear as if they were shot with a dslr..

People should stop giving advices when having no idea of what they are talking about... no offense bud but you're totally wrong.

This 1" sensor ISN'T sharpest from f/4 to f/8. It is sharpest from f/2.8 to f/5.6 MAX. The reason is you also need to apply a crop correction factor (in 35mm terms) to the aperture not only the focal length. This is why many folks had issues with soft video from the Mavic 2 Pro at f/11.

Let me put this in numbers.
1" = x2.7 Crop Factor (FYI a 1/2.3" like Mavic 2 Zoom = x5.6)

This practically means that at:
f/2.8 = f/7.6
f/4 = f/11
f/5.6 = f/15

After that everything softens quickly due to diffraction as f/7 = f/19 and f/11 = f/30!

The OP HAS some softness on the right side of the image (it can be seen on the far mountains) BUT I have the feeling that the AF was left in AFC and was hunting as the blur is not consistent through the whole video. I would use Tap to Focus and then switch to Manual Focus to lock the selected point and if not solved, contact DJI to fix this.

I have a similar issue with my 2.5 year old M2P, was fine when new. My issue is picture noise or a light snow across the whole scene and a slight jerkiness when panning the aircraft, however altitude changes don't cause the jerkiness.

stutter comes from not synced fps etc, focus is set little bit too far i think, and yes, sharpest results with this lens are around f/4-5,6 probably.
and 1inch sensor is certainly not same as used in smart phones (that would be mini series, for example) and it does make big difference.

Generally its the massively aggressive compression responsible for most issues not the sensor itself.
HQ mode is a lot sharper natively though.

FWIW when i did aperture quality tests i found no real visual difference between f2.8 and f/4 (maybe f4 was a hair better) but from 5.6 onwards diffraction rapidly turned the image to crap.

Even before I read the entire thread, I was thinking f/stop and  "AF vs. M"... - but I'm still a rookie with my M2P, just been reading a lot until I get a chance to really fly at length.
