Is this fixed yet can I use my other mounting Manfrotto plates on the Ronin S? I'm looking at replacing a crane 2 but won't bother if this is still an issue.

I have a SmallRig Quick Release 1647 plate that works with the Ronin S and the Manfrotto MVH500AH fluid head. The Ronin S plate (RS-002) fits on the Manfrotto MVH500AH, but the Manfrotto plate that came with the MVH500AH does not fit on the Ronin S. I hope this info helps.

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. The Ronin -S camera mounting plate is compatible with Manfrotto 501PL type. You can simply dismount the camera set up from the Ronin -S, then mount it onto a compatible tripod or fluid head system. However, there will be different sizes of the Manfrotto, I would recommend bringing your Ronin -S when you're about to purchase these plates to determine if it would fit properly to your Ronin-S.
