Do you have a problem of too much snow in your city?

Here in Ottawa Canada the city has to take away the snow that builds up on the streets, making them narrower and narrower....  And parking lots get huge snow mound build ups.....  So...  What to do?  

Take it to snow mountain!  By the truck load....  A lot of truck loads...

Here in Norway they just dump the snow inn to the sea, if the sea i close by.

Ha, thanks.  Yes, I was thinking they could do something with it!  Maybe bottle it as alpine fresh water!

That seems logical - We have a river close by, though the shoreline gets frozen as well, so maybe not that easy......

Yes, definitely more than Vancouver...  Although they got a good dumping this month.

Having lived in BC’s interior for many years when I was young, I can you this “dump” we got here in Vancouver is laughable! If Vancouver got the same amount of snow you guys got over there, this city would shut down completely!

Ha, yeah, true.  We are quite well prepared.  I'm impressed by how quick the city gets the roads clear....  Always someome complaining that there side street isn't plowed on tim though...

It isn't that sustainable. Snow from the city is polluted with car exhaust gas so it very dangerous for sea creaturws and flora.

I envy you for having the snow Mountain.
The one we have here  is in my front yard. Today we got 22 inches of snow. The most snow recorded in about a 100 years. (living in Arizona)
Most of the time we get a few inches (couple times in winter) and it is gone in about a day. This will last for weeks since we only have a couple of snowplows for our city.

22 inches - Great stuff!  That's a good amount for one day.  Our heavy days are around 15 inches, but after our first snow fall (normally in December), we won't see grass again until March at least....
