I am having issues with my Mavic Pro 2 as it renders pictures horribly. I'm not sure how to adjust it. I'm shooting in Manual 100 ISO, 4.4f 1/120th+ all pictures are unusable. Any help would be great. Video shoots perfectly/photos are horrible. IMG_7541.JPG IMG_7540.JPG

Are you taking the photos in the raw format?  You should as they have much high details compared to the in camera jpg... However they are not meant to be just viewed directly.. They are like a digital negative and need to be processed by Adobe photoshop first ( or other photo apps first).

The Raw/ dng file will ultimately make a much higher quality jpg photo /file than the jpg file created by the in camera converter.

However if you attempt to view them with simple photo viewers...yea they will be pixelated.

Also you can in camera settings set it to save the high quality dng file and the jpg version of the file (2 copies) so you can see the  jpg version right away. Then process the dng version later.

It’s currently set in raw. I’ll try to clean it with an adobe mobile. Thank you for the help. Is it also possible to switch it to both raw and jpg for immediate viewing without editing?

Those are most likely only the preview files of the RAWs, which are meant to have a lower resolution / bad quality. You have to use a program like Adobe Lightroom to post edit and save it into a JPG.

So I opened the pic in Adobe Photoshop and it's still pixelated.  Is there an adjustment I can't find?

I'm currently having the same issues. Even when I open the files on my laptop. All pixelated.

Are they the cached images from you mobile device or direct from the drone? Like several people said, the raw needs to be processed in a photo software program. I don't own a program yet but several people on the forum should have recommendations. Good luck.

You're either using the images from the thumbnail cache on the mobile device OR if you are certain you're looking at the DNG files, your image viewer/editor doesnt full support the DNG format and is reading the small embedded JPG preview.

When I connect my SD card to pc I have the same problem. The quality is poor and pixelated of course.

Are you copying the files from the SD card to your computer and not relying on the mobile cached image.

So whatever image software you're using is reading the jpg preview not the DNG.

You need a viewer that correctly reads DNG files.

We need to know what computer system you're using first.

Lightroom is the obvious candidate.  There are others.

Your problem is that the pic you posted is not an image file from the drone.
It's a 960 x 640 thumbnail of an image from the drone.

You need to download the images from the SD card and if you are using dng files, you need specialised software that is able to read dng files, not just the jpg thumbnail image inside the dng file.
