I like iMovie

for windows i would say davinci resolve 15. I tried many others over the past years and avoided davinci cause of its steep learning curve. Eventually the others free programes i tried for one reason or another were ultimately not suitable so i bit the bullet with davinci - it was a long steep learning curve but really worth it in the end - however now i have reverted back to editing on the dji go app because i only make 'memory clips' and the functions in the app i find are good enough for that.
