Horrible / dangerous situation happened today. I was flying my P3A normally, when all of  sudden a message VERY BRIEFLY flashed saying something about how my phone wasn't linked:
"Phone number not linked. As a result, the altitude and distance are permitted by your flight are restricted. Take off again after landing."
The DGI Go app automatically drove the flight down to about 100ft - in the middle of trees 120-140ft tall!!! I was extremely lucky to be able to pilot the drone through the maze of trees. Nothing I could do would get the drone higher.
This is a VERY DANGEROUS approach for DGI GO to take over control. If the drone had crashed I would not have been able to recover it! What the hell is DJI thinking?
1) What is this all about? I have searched my account profile and there is NO PLACE in the account profile to register a phone number
2) What can I do to ensure the GO app will no longer take control and fly my drone unsafely???
This is really bad!

So I uninstalled the DJI GO app, reinstalled.

Went out next day. Went to 326 ft altitude. Sat there for a minute or two, and all seemed fine. Proceeded with our traffic study videography.

With just under 5 min signal was lost, go home kicked in. At 5:06 the drone fell from the sky and was destroyed. Images attached are relevant.

Been flying now for around 4 years with 200,000 acres surveyed all over the Philippines. This never happened before. I can't help but think that there is some fault in the latest DJI GO app that causes this problem.

Anyone else seen this?

Unfortunately the drone was destroyed after the fall from altitude, and there is no way to power it up. Suggestions?
