Okie dokie then. I shot this a couple of weeks ago and it was this footage that I realised that my laptop wasnt up to the job of handling the Premier pro editing program. I've gone back to basics and put it in MS movie maker. So many things I'm not happy with on this video. Flying in this creek was really tough. Because of the tree cover it was droping out of GPS, a couple of times the Spark began to drop and i thought i was going to lose it in the creek! Then trying to look out for objects and follow a very windy path was all very nerve wracking. Id like to go back out there again and re shoot it. Next time I'll hold one direction longer and look for better angles to get a straight line of flight. Hopefully by next time I'll be a bit more comfortable with the Spark controls too. I think to fly in tight conditions like this you really need to be able to fly without thinking, "ok this button makes it do what?"!!

Wow, that's a really nice creek. It almost brings to mind up the creek without a drone.

Flying in tight spots like that is great practice!  It's a nice vid!  Makes you feel like you are there.

Great job, I love the music! I'm going to try the same thing on the creek behind my place. I've found out in my brief experience that editing in fade transitions between facing different directions makes things look smoother. I'm also going to try tripod mode which makes movements slower and smoother. Enjoy the last of your summer!

Yes indeed. Ah I wondered who had subscribed and was flying. You have some nice stuff there, with smooth flying. That's not a Spark is it?

Thanks, I slowed down the video at half pace and that seemed to give it a more dreamy feel.

Haha thanks yes flying in tight spots is good practice, but maybe I shouldn't be doing it over water too! I'm still too much of a novice and I don't want to lose the spark before I've even learnt how to properly fly it.

Thanks, yes the music was a good find. Creek flying is certainly fun, but pretty nerve wracking too! I knew I was flying way out of my depth with so many things to remember. Yep forgot to switch to tripod mode which would have taken out the jerkyness. When I played with Premier pro I was able to do so much more with transitions, the ones in movie maker don't seem as sophisticated so I left them out.

I had an opportunity to fly a really beautiful creek in the Smoky Mountains last year.  But; Sparky could not lock into any satellites so I kept it grounded.  Glad you stuck with your guns and got the footage you wanted!

You probably made a wise decision, I thought I could repeat my flight and get better footage and nearly lost the Spark. That creek doesnt have crocs, but there are plenty of other things in this part of the world that you never know when they are gona get you. Snakes, spiders, poisonous plants. Check out my next video where the drone crashed.
