Atmospherics have been really great the last couple of days...I'm finding that single shot Tripod versus Pano rectanular is working better as the pano ends up 50% dark ground and misses some of the higher clouds.  In Tripod I can raise the gimbal higher than in normal...gives me more sky/clouds and rule of thirds look.  I also think a single shot is much more clear/sharp than the pano.  No editing other than cropping.

You could use tripod to do the Pano shot by shot yourself?

Or do a Pano, PLUS a upper row with tripod?
