Just hit another milestone for me just over 8.3km this morning. Exciting day for me YIPEE

I am sure if i can get to some nice high ground and fly at a level height i can get more distance instead of me flying from low to high gaining alitude to clear alot of the hills that surround me.

I saw on the mavic pilots forum a guy hit 11km with stock drone and equipment, i want to make this a challange for me, hopfully i hit it but will look for a nice open place to try this in case i do not make it back

11km? That is insane mate - be sure it is a windless day in the middle of nowhere. That is the entire length of Greater North London as the crow flies...

I know that sounds literally unreachable but if i stay at a constant height with my takeoff point high enough and keep that height steady, no recording, led lights off, windless day straight line I should be able to land with about 0% battery on return or maybe a little more. I just need to find the right location to do this test. I like to push the limits and assumed once i hit over the 8km mark i will be happ but this just made me more hungry to go further curiosty killed the cat I guess

Dustin Dunhill reached 6.09 miles in Hawaii which is obviously an FCC area being a US state - that is 9.8km and landed on 0% with the M2P. To push that another 1.2km without losing the drone will require precision planning mate and a bit of luck. It may be advisable to have a mate at the half way point in case anything goes wrong and I wouldn't do it over water - ask Billy Kyle about that one lol

So Dustin is only third on the list lol. 11,033 metres / 6.86 miles with a safe return to home... that is jaw dropping. Good luck with it mate and plan it really well. Nothing worse than going home without your drone (so I've been told).

You normally find that after ten charges the batteries are broken in more and perform better. So you should get a better battery performance with 20 charge cycles. These batteries can handle hundreds of charges. I received another brand new battery this week and flew it for the first time yesterday - I got less flight time than I did from the others.
