The other day I had an interesting experience with my spark.
Yes I know that Fei means fly but...
The spark declined to land, leaving me wondering wtf to do about it.
I could stand around like a fool and wait for the battery to run out, but not me!
I could try to swat it out of the air, mmmm a bit high for that...

I eventually regained control and landed   Phew!

The reason was no doubt that I had launched too close to an electric lamp post.

  The moral of the story - tranquilo senhor, tranquilo!

Hello and good day Droffarc. I am sorry to know that you had an issue on the previous flight with your DJI Spark. This is not the experience we want you to have with your DJI Drone. Is the firmware of the said drone on it's latest update? And are you able to fly your drone to a different location for us to check if the issue will still persist? Hi Droffarc,

At 2m57 seconds a connection loss, full connection loss so Drone did a RTH.
Happy that it flew home,from the beginning of the flight a compass error.
GoHome went OK, at 3m51s at home but still a compass error and yaw errors.
Normally when above HP an autolanding starts, not this time!
It stayed in the RTH mode hovering above HP....
Again some connection loss for about 73 seconds, still hovering at 30 meters abve HP.
Twice a "failed to cancel RTH" warning, uh??  [ why is this ?? ]
Finally RTH mode cancelled by you, this at 6m13s.

Autolanding wich could not be cancelled?  uh ??

Guess you managed to land it after all using the autoland option.

Hope that DJI will help you out, never saw this before in any flightlog.

What I did when I was able to land  I did and switched off and on again, took a few steps forward, away from the lamp post, and re-launched and all was well.

I have, with all three of the  sparks I have owned in the last year, always had compass errors, even within minutes of doing a compass re-calibrate in an open field, so I tend to ignore the compass errors as they seem not to have any effect.

No real issues on subsequent flights either, so I am happy with

If it was low enough you could grab it and flip it over.
The motors will automatically turn off.
