There are two flights that I have yet to make with my Spark. One is to fly close to a Wind Turbine - obviously keeping well out of the way of the blades, and fflying under a (big) bridge.
Think I've found a bridge, and it's massive, details here.

Has anyone on here flown under a big bridge and has any recommendations / advice? Need to plan carefully as it's 50 miles away from home, so a trip out.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Just plan for the weather.
Nothing else to worry about with a bridge that big.
Even with smaller and totally steel bridges I had no problems:

Thank you!
Im tempted to upgrade to an Air for the longer battery life, if I get it wrong and Sparky is taking a bath!

Naw, you will do just fine!
If you plan to skim the water for effect, try to stay at least 20' off the water.
But if you go lower, be prepared to gently raise the craft because it will tend to lower itself.
The visual positioning system gets confused with the reflections of water and thinks it is higher than it is so it lowers itself.
Hard to determine what height that will happen at because angle of the sun affects that too.

But if you to an across the middle flight between the water and the bridge, you will be OK.

Thank you, that's great advice that I will bear in mind!

Make sure your signal strength is good when you fly under the bridge.

When I shot this video, it was complaining about the compass all the time I was inside the structure. Sylvester seemed to be handling ok, so I finished the shot and got out. You see he headed straight for the structure and obstacle avoidance kicked in.
