Just curious if there are any engineers out there who are understanding of the technical aspects of the Mavic pro (2)
Wondering what is it that helps the mavic know how fast it is going?
Is it the GPS? the sensors? what are the technical aspects of the aircraft that help me gauge its speed?

Anybody have an idea?

Pretty common GPS calculation: d=st, where d(distance), s(speed), t(time)

Not sure but speed along the X, Y and z axis is measured. (well, there are values for in the files)
In the flightlog is the speed given, this speed (m/s) is the same as when calculated from the X Y values.
But they are not always the same.....
Result of the X and Y calculaltion is the moving speed, wich is almost the same as the speed caluclated from LatLon data versus time.
But not always the same....

When errors (yaw, compass, imu etc) are present the speed indication (so the calculation) is not correct anymore, even when the GPS data is available and correct but not used.

So i think that DJI don`t use GPS data for their speed indication, so if not HOW they measure speed??

cheers
