Update: The owner of the vehicle has been contacted by authorities and instructed to cleanup the watse that was thrown along the road - email reply from authorities is below video clip.

Dirt tracking with my mavic pro - came across a person illegally dumping - fortunately only garden waste but still to have unessesary plastic distributed into nature is a real shame.Still it was a super flight session.. lots of fun.The matter was been reported to local waste management authorities - i do not feel good about it - but i believe it is the right thing to do and now it is done. Local authority reply below video clip

The dumping is a shame, the flying and video is fantastic!!!

Great flying skills buddy, the footage was fabulous. I would send a copy of the footage to the authorities, unacceptable to dump anything illegally.

its quite maddening really - the guy only had to wait till monday and he could have legally dumped at the local site for free - the official town dump is less than 10km away from this place.
so nice to hear you though the footage was fabulous - i very much enjoyed the session

The video is a beautiful chase technically speaking. Real film of a person who throws rubbish or friends who have lent themselves is a beautiful denunciation of what man does in his own small way to the environment. Thanks Bekaru.

Thanks hallmark - i cant remember when last i had a days excursion without seeing broken bottles, cigarette butts and plastic strew around..as an outdoors person and nature lover it is heart breaking.
Actually witnessing it happen made my blood boil

i would not like to live in a surveillance state but totally see the benefit, even the need, for it.

Good question. i am pretty sure they heard me but not sure if they saw me.
The guy in the back looked around a couple times but might not have understood what the sound was about and since he only looked briefly my thought is that he did not get a focus on my drone.

The driver also will have heard me for sure but not likely to have seen my drone as i was from behind and possibly not visible in his mirrors.

My home point was about 1.5km away on a hill top where my motor car is visible from that road - not sure if they noticed.

Mad chase scene!  Right out of the movies.  I couldn't believe you went under the trees, I thought you'd have to pull up and go around.  Sad, those buttheads think so little of the environment that they throw their trash indiscriminately but you did a great job of catching them in the act.

It is a 4km stretch of track with twists and turns and ups and downs - lovely for practicing finger/ thumb coordination
This was the first time i was brave enough to go under the tree - every time before i pulled out - but this day i felt i was lined up properly and my altitude was good so i went for it and got lucky

When you fly like this, do you shut off the collision avoidance system?  I've run into problems before where the drone will balk at going under limbs because the CA says it's not safe.

i fly mostly in sport mode so sensors do/are supposed to switch off - although ii noticed today when i was chasing my own car at one point i got too close and despite being in sport mode (should be sensors off) it still pulled up
