A few weeks ago, I went to Rancho Seco to film the towers, but wasn’t able to get the shots I wanted due to a NFZ as it was listed as a nuclear power station. However, it has been at least a decade since it was finally decommissioned.
I had filed a request to have the NFZ removed and provided supporting documentation regarding its closure to flysafe@dji.com and several days later I was notified it was removed.
Last weekend, at the butt crack of dawn I went to verify. Lo and behold it was.

Thanks Roy! I actually never got below the rim of the towers. The openings are so large it just appears that way.
