How did the Pocket handle the cold? Did you have the pocket in your hand or fastened to your clothing while skiing?

We also love Italy. We have been skiing for many years in Colfosco Alta Badia. At that time I still had the GoPro Hero3.

Handheld. Have tried to mount on backpack strap but then you have no control of what it shoots. Pure luck if something of interest is captured.

The gimbal is difficult to control when skiing. The gimbal cannot keep up with a skier in front for example that turns from L to R for example. Trying to compensate makes things worse since the gimbal tries to even out your movements as well. The OP small screen does not help, especially when you are trying to ski for yourself. Summary: difficult but doable with some practice. Be aware it is not an action camera.

I only filmed short bursts and kept the OP in my pocket. Battery did ok. Weather ca -5 to -9C.
