I really hate to use my iPhone X without a case but the defender case I have won’t work with the OP.  It’s just a little to thick at the bottom.  Has anyone found a decent case for the iPhone X that works?  It’s a pain to have to remove and re-install the case every time I want to use to OP.  Thanks.

I use one of this, will make contact but to be fully seated well, I have to sand down the bottom edge a little bit.

Me too, I use iPhone SE and Thule, I sand down the edge 1mm, and fits well and tight and the stepped edge.....

While you find a case that suits your needs, you can try a lightning extender adapter.  https://www.amazon.com/Lightning ... 8-1-spons&psc=1  It adds like an extra inch.  I would only use this if you already have a phone bracket to use with your OP.  I have used it with and without the bracket but its more sturdy with it.  

I use one of these with my iPhone XR, but as you see here they also make one for the iPhone X, and the OP with lightning connector fits perfectly.

I use Apples original Leather case and it works fine as its open at the bottom
