Does the controller for the Tello give the Tello extra range and does it still use a WiFi signal or a radio transmission?

Hi Mariachi, the recommended controller T1D would not use a WiFi signal but Bluetooth signal. Thus it would not boost the wifi signal between the mobile phone and Tello.

There are people that have boosted the wi fi signal with an inexpensive wi fi extender, cant post the url, google search it.

Just use the cheap Xiao Mi WIFI repeater to extend the range and improve video feed of the Tello

Remote controller T1D is connected to Tello via Bluetooth and it doesn't give extra range. But with T1D the recorded video quality and FPV video link is worse. Proof link: (+ read the commnt).

I think you mean by controller the Gamesir T1D? It is connected to you phone by bluetooth, so the controller it self does not provide extra range.

Controller dont help in extending range. Recommended T1d controller uses bluetooth to connect to mobile.. mobile to Tello connection is still via WiFi. Other know method to increase the range is to use a Wifi repeater like Xiaomi v2.
