China really has a beautiful cultural heritage to share with the world!

I think i know the legend about the moon new year in China. But i did´nt had an experience about it in China directly,in Vietnam i got it already.
Pefect all shots you shared for us. Panda,if you ever visit Vietnam you may visit the bay of the "Sleeping Dragon" (Ha Long bay).

You can feel the atmosphere of Chinese New year if you have a chance to visit China during the moon new year. There are lights all over the place. Spring festival transportation is a typical example, people back to their hometown, reuniting with their family. The airports, the train station, full of people.

Would be so nice if in other countries we got the same kind of celebrations! I think the only thing that happens where I live during New Year is that there are some fireworks and you might get invited to another person´s house for supper. New Year ends there

There i  the countryside of China allyearly a Nian
Monster awoke from  its winter sleep and was  very hungry. That monster hunted village poeple , mostly children. A monk found out that this monster hates red,yellow and golden light and loud noises came from crackers, He called all people together with red ang yellow lanterns and crackers. When the "Nian"  came then the people lighted on their lanterns and fired up the crackers so that the monster begones to flee. That was every late January or soon February. This monster gives the time about 12 -13 moons the name of this time called Year,Jahr(German) Nian (Chinese),Niên(Vietnamese). An elder Vietnamese told me about this legend of the Chinese new year 10 or 11 years ago,he meant i´ve to remember this.

In one word: magic. I hope I could celebrate that one day

Now the world is a "village" through the internet but these sories and history live with humans as that old Vietnamese,many Chineses and us European and  Americans as Africans. Many legends surround the world unwritten but told many times in different centuries and different roles.
