Hello, drone flyers!
I am wondering about different features of the dji spark.
I already know about:  Gesure Control, (PalmControl, PamLanch/PalmLand) Active Track, QuickShot, and TapFly.
If there are any cool new features on the dji spark that I may not know about please tell me.Are there any new features???

By the way, if you want to buy a dji spark then get a remote controller too.
Virtual joysticks are very uncomfortable to use. Plus, you get more flight distance too.

Hello Sparkdrone, you have mentioned all the features available on the Go4 app. If you wish to get more features, you have to use other apps like Litchi.

If you care to use the MOD 2.0 app instead of the stock Go4 app, you'll additionally get:
- POI
- Waypoints
- Course Lock
- Home Lock
- FCC range

And you're absolutely right about using a R/C for the bird.

These 3rd party applications might affect the drone or its component and can also affect the performance of the drone when in use and can void the warranty of the drone as well. Actually, there is a possibility that these applications will be able to work on the said drone. However, since it's not yet optimized and tested by DJI we cannot guaranteed the stability of the said applications if it will work all the time with no issues while using them. I would not buy the Spark for it's gesture control as the fascination wears off quickly.  The automated fight modes are more interesting though (dronie, circle, etc.).  It's really a fun and stable drone to fly and film with.  At 12 minutes per battery it's best to have several.  Just some thoughts...

Can't say for all but Litchi is one of the most popular 3rd party softwares available for the Spark.

It has worked great for me so far. I really love the waypoints, course lock and home lock features.

Not that I would know one.
But, imho, it is a very valuable app!
You can even "testfly"  a mission for a location, you have never been before.
By moving the planed mission in the mission hub to a location near by, which will fit the supposed location best as possible.
Or you can fly your bird with the mission (2 waypoints!) to always exactly the same coordinates and do there  always the same Pano, Sphere, video, ....!

Agree.  Gesture is useless unless you want footage of your hand in the air

It's just as safe as the original factory program. No better and no worse.
Program Crashes can also be produced by DJIGO4.
You need to know that DJI does not offer any rewards if third party programs are running on your phone when you crash ...
Because I have a warranty expired, I use Litchi because he knows a lot of things that DJGO4 does not (not allowed).

The airmap app can fly your spark too. I read somewhere that it IS supported by DJI.

I've never even tried gesture mode, or flying with just the phone.

Airmap only for the Iphone !
Android version not exist.
