Hi Larry Oz, my sincere apologies for all the inconvenience caused. I would recommend you try to refresh the firmware using a different Operating system or PC. You can also use a different cable to isolate the issue. Kindly refresh the firmware using DJI Assistant 2 and you may download the software using this link: https://www.dji.com/mavic-air/info#downloads . After you successfully flash the firmware, I would suggest you calibrate the IMU and the Compass. Please see video tutorials below for your reference. For the compass calibration, You can go this route: MC Settings--Advanced Settings--Sensor--Compass--calibrate. If the issue persists, please feel free to contact us. Thanks for your support.
I was using the wrong version of assistant. I downloaded the Mavic one thinking it was for Mavic Air, silly me!
I wish I had good news to report back but I don't.
After I reported the fix the problem intermittently comes back.
Furthermore, the drone is stable one moment then if I move it a direction it'll continue moving that direction even if I let go of the controller pegs.
I've calibrated multiple times and the problem goes away then swiftly returns.
I'm going to assume this intermittent issue requires a replacement of the unit?
